It is difficult to continue to move forward when pain has aggressively invaded our bodies. We know that we have a duty to perform and we would like to perform this duty in good health, however sometimes that is not possible. We work when we are hurting because there may be others depending on us. So, we go on the best we can..

David‘s pain was deep. His son Absalom was chasing him through the wilderness, and wanted to destroy him. He loved his son and wanted nothing more than to reconcile with him and continue that relationship. But the thought of his son wanting to end his life hurt him deeply. When David learned that his son was dead, he mourned him. David didn’t eat, but was in deep pain because of his son.

The pain that consumes our being, does not ever go away. It may diminish, but will not completely go away. Our loved ones that have gone on … we will never forget … we handle it differently. We realize that we must move on knowing that we will see them again.
