What a Friend!

Is there a certain someone who you consider a friend? I’m not referring to an acquaintance, I'm talking about someone who you can depend on. Someone that you know if you were in need of something they would come to your aid or make arrangements to help you. We have a friend that sticks closer than a brother. His name is Jesus, He’ll hear our faintest cry and answer by and by. What a friend we have in Jesus … all our sins and griefs to bear … what a privilege to carry...

Loving Yourself

The love of the world is different from the love that is described in the Bible. Biblical love is selfless and unconditional. The love of the world is selfish and lustful. Jesus said Love one another as I have loved you. Think about this … can we love someone else if we don't love for ourselves? We should treat others how we treat ourselves. When we love ourselves that love is transferred to others. We treat others how we want to be treated. When we send out love w...

Loving Your Neighbor

We may think our neighbor is the people that live next door to us or across the street from us, Christ extends that relationship to a wider circumference.
Our neighbor is whoever is in need, whoever we can help, whoever we can serve. This service reaches far beyond our immediate area. It reaches a person standing by the freeway asking for money, it reaches people that are hungry and in pain.
Jesus tells a parable of a Jewish person that had been robbed and beaten and l

The Oil of The Holy Spirit

The Oil of The Holy Spirit is not really a substance, it is referring to the Power and Presence of The Holy Spirit. When we allow The Holy Spirit to reign and rule in our lives, we are imbued with the anointing of The Spirit. We will be inspired to evangelize or help in some other ministry to move the church forward. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God, He comes to comfort us, stand by us and to help us in times of need. He illuminates us, He makes us aware of the Holy

The God Ordered Peace

How do we acquire tranquility when everything around us has turned upside down. I pray for nights to be restful and days to be peaceful and our efforts to be filled with fruitfulness. It is easy to say, but difficult to have. When the walls of our lives are crumbling around us and things just don’t seem to work out well, we find ourselves in despair and without peace.
Philippians 4:6-7, can answer our uneasiness. It tells us not to worry about anything, but we should pray

Faith

God is outside the realm of the five senses. We cannot sense Him. We must connect with Him through Faith. It says, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We don’t accept the worldly view of God, because He stands outside of our demension. He is in the supernatural, and we seek Him supernaturally. Faith is supernatural, it is that which we Hope for, supernaturally, will materialize in the natural. It is the substance of things Hope for … Faith is the fou

Grace

Grace is an unmerited favor from God. It is not giving us what we justly deserve. We are living under Grace in this age because the price has been paid for our sins. God has spared us because of the sacrifice that Jesus gave for us. We were living with the stain of sin on us, but Jesus shedded His blood and made the eternal sacrifice for our sins and caused us to live under Grace.

God’s Love

Can we really understand the depth of God’s Love for us? Can you really see how He watches over us day and night. He cares about us, our problems, our troubles, things that upset us and causes us to cry. He cares so much for us that He gathers our tears in a bottle. God Loves us so much that He sent His Son to die so that we might live. So, I question the Love we have for one another. Can we see our brother or sister alone and destitute without having feelings for t

Thoughts on the Disaster in Texas

It is a tragedy that fell on that Texas community. People were made unalive and some have not been found. There is no way we can ever prepare ourselves for a tragedy like this. We will continue to pray for the families and those that are lost, we pray that they may be found safe.

Independence Day

We are celebrating Independence Day today. This day marks a day of freedom from control. It is wonderful that we gained our freedom from Great Britain on this day in 1776. We should strive to stay free from tyranny, being ruled by a government that does not have our best interest as a priority. We celebrate this day as a day of freedom … but are we truly free?

Clutter, Confusion and Worry

Our minds can be filled with so many things that it makes it difficult to put things into its proper perspective. Clutter and Confusion has a close association with Worry. When things don’t come together as we think they should, we have a tendency to worry about it and get confused. Confusion is a never ending circle of worries. We think about the clutter and get confused and worry about it. I Corinthians 14:33 says, For God is not the author of confusion but of p

No Kings

We are experiencing a huge gap in our relationship with the Lord. Instead of being led by the Lord, we are choosing a king to lead us.
Just as Israel chose a king, we are following suit. Samuel was saddened that Israel wanted a king, but God told him to let Israel have their way, for they did not reject him, they rejected Me. God told Samuel what is expected from a king. He will take your sons and daughters into his service, take a tenth of your crops and your live

Stability in Christ

The only safe place to be at this point is in Christ. All around us is unstable ground. Things are not as we would hope. But this is the most ideal place for us to be. Because, when we are at our lowest, we must realize that Christ is at His highest. We go through things to make this spiritual journey relevant and to substantiate our relationship with Him. The song says, "If we never had a problem, we would never know that Christ could solve them … we would never know wh

Blindness

There are different types of Blindness. The one we are most familiar with is physical blindness. A more severe blindness is spiritual blindness. This blindness is caused by the enemy. It keeps us from experiencing truth. The truth can only be realized when we have been exposed to the Lord Jesus Christ.
In John’s Gospel, there was a man born blind. This man was blind so that the works of God could be in him. Jesus anointed the blind man’s eyes and told him to go wash. When

He was before the beginning

Jesus is the second person of the God-Head. The Son of God. He is the agent through whom all things were made. In the Gospel of John, it is said that He is the Word. The spoken Word created all things. The worlds were framed by the Word of God, the things that are seen are not made of things which do appear. It is the power of God that brings all things into existence.
