We should never take things for granted. We have a powerful enemy that is in every aspect of our lives. The enemy comes “…to steal, and to kill, and to destroy..” (John 10:10) the works of God. We are God’s handywork, and because of this, we are targets.

We must Pray without fail. Prayer changes things and it changes situations, so we must continue to pray without ceasing.

James tells us, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16b). What James is saying is that when we apply ourselves to prayer, expect intended results. God may not answer as soon as we would like, but He will answer in His time and the time will be when it is necessary. James also says that we must pray with passion, this is what gets the attention of God. When we ask, we ask with fervency.

We become Righteous through the Blood of Jesus, we appeal not through our righteousness, but through the righteousness of Jesus. Because of these truths, we can be effective in our prayer life
